Instead of a community cake, the candidates received individually packaged rose cupcakes.

Pink for Clothing — White for Final Promise — Red for First Promise.

The Nuns were celebrating the 62nd Anniversary of their foundation on November 21, 2020.

In honor of this special occasion, they received cupcakes topped with their new Carmel of Danvers logo featuring the Monastery Patroness, St. Therese of Lisieux, “The Little Flower”.

Our Spiritual Assistant and Regional Assistant, Fr. Leonard Copeland, OCD was recently appointed the OCDS Provincial Delegate of the Washington Province.

In honor of this appointment, Fr. Len received cupcakes topped with the new OCDS Washington Province logo featuring the Immaculate Heart of Mary to share with the Brothers and Friars at the Brighton Monastery, home of the new OCDS Main Office.

2019 Ceremonies

On November 9th, our St. Teresa of the Andes Community (Danvers, MA) was blessed with a visit from Fr. Saverio Cannistrà while he was here in the States. Divine Providence arranged for him to be at the Danvers Carmelite Monastery (of nuns) on our annual "Ceremonies Day," and he was able to concelebrate the Mass with Fr. Len Copeland (Northeast Regional OCDS Assistant and our community's Spiritual Assistant).  We had two individuals Clothed in the Brown Scapular and three people making First Promises.  Here's a very historic group photo—we were all SO EXCITED that Father General could be with us on such a festive day.
